YOUR FAMILY’S INFORMATION
Privacy policy.
What you share, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Sproutfit is a wardrobe planner for parents and caregivers. This policy covers the Sproutfit mobile app and website. You can contact us about privacy at support@sproutfit.fit.
Information we handle
- Guest planning. The date you choose for the anonymous wheel stays in the mobile app’s memory. It is not sent to our profile API unless you sign in and save a child. It is not saved between app sessions.
- Parent accounts. Our authentication provider, Clerk, handles sign-up and sign-in information, such as your email address, credentials or connected sign-in provider, account identifiers, and session information. Sproutfit uses your account identifier to associate saved profiles with your account.
- Child profiles you enter. A name or nickname, birthday or due date and its type, current clothing and shoe sizes, and optional notes.
- Measurements you enter. Measurement dates and optional height, weight, and foot length. We also store your measurement-unit preference, record identifiers, and creation or update timestamps.
- Support messages. Your email address and anything you choose to include when contacting us.
- Technical information. Hosting and authentication services may process IP addresses, request times, browser or device information, and operational or security logs needed to deliver and protect the service.
You can use a nickname and leave optional fields blank. Please avoid adding sensitive information that is unnecessary for clothing planning to profile notes or support messages.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate your account, save and retrieve your family’s profiles, show the sizes and measurements you record, remember your unit preference, respond to support and privacy requests, and keep the service reliable and secure.
The growth wheel uses the date you choose to calculate age-based clothing estimates. Saved sizes and measurements do not currently adjust those estimates. Sproutfit is a clothing-planning tool and does not provide medical assessments.
Sproutfit does not include advertising or cross-app advertising tracking. We do not use your child’s profile to target ads.
Service providers and sharing
We use service providers to operate Sproutfit:
- Clerk provides authentication and account management. Clerk privacy information.
- Neon hosts the Postgres database containing saved profiles, preferences, and measurements. Neon privacy information.
- Vercel hosts the website and API and processes requests and hosting logs. Vercel privacy information.
Our email providers also process messages you send to support. Information is shared with providers as needed to deliver their services, subject to the applicable service agreements. Their privacy information explains their own practices; this policy describes Sproutfit’s handling of your information.
Information may be processed outside the country where you live. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or threats to people’s safety.
If you follow a link to a brand’s size guide or another external website, that website’s privacy practices apply.
Your choices and deletion
You can explore without signing up, choose which optional details to save, and edit saved child profiles in Your children. Deleting a child profile removes its saved sizes, notes, and measurement history from the app’s active database. You can also delete individual measurements.
To request deletion of your parent account and its associated saved data, email support@sproutfit.fit from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my Sproutfit account.” We may need to verify account ownership before completing a request. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete saved data.
You can also contact us to request access to, correction of, or a copy of your information, or to ask about other privacy rights available where you live. Where processing depends on your consent, you can ask to withdraw it. We will explain any information we must retain and the reason when handling your request.
See support and data requests for more help.
Retention and security
We keep saved account and profile information while you use the account, unless you delete it or request deletion. We retain support correspondence as needed to resolve requests and keep necessary support records. Operational logs and provider backups follow the providers’ retention schedules; deleted records may remain in backups until those backups expire. Information may be retained longer where required for legal obligations or security.
We use HTTPS for the public service, authenticated requests for saved profiles, and account-based access checks. Native sign-in tokens use the device’s secure storage. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Sign-in on the web uses cookies or similar session technologies through Clerk; the mobile app stores authentication tokens to maintain your session. These support account access. The public privacy and support pages do not require sign-in.
Children’s information
Sproutfit is intended for adult parents and caregivers, not for children to create accounts. Child information is provided and managed by the adult account holder for family clothing planning. Only enter information about children you are authorized to care for. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account or information has been provided without appropriate authorization.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its “Last updated” date when our practices change. If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it as applicable.
